Do you ever look at a picture and it makes you happy? That's this picture for me. In a season of many changes and difficult life lessons to conquer, its a nice reminder that there is still joy in my days.

To me, fall is more than just pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters and pumpkins (although I obviously love all three). It's getting to sit back and watch the world change around you.

This may sound cheesy, but bear with me: Just like the seasons of change in the weather, there has to be seasons of change in life. Without a sudden winter of extreme change, there isn't a renewed spring to see new doors opening, a exciting summer of experiences or a sentimental fall of memories to look back on.

So stay encouraged lovebugs, this is only the beginning of something great!

Fall and Forever 21 Fedoras

I may be jumping the gun a little bit, but I am so psyched for fall.

In fact, I'm writing this post in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt and listening to Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood.

So to celebrate my favorite season, I wanted my final Bella Mi Jewelry post to be a fall inspired look.

For this look, I wanted to incorporate fall colors (reds, greens, yellows and browns). My Small Brim Wool Fedora is from Forever 21. It was the only non-beanie, non-Indiana Jones-ish styled hat and I loved it!

The colors of the Bella Mi necklace really play off of the greens and browns throughout the outfit and tie it all together.

To finish off the outfit, these Blayklea JustFab boots in the shade Stone are the perfect fall boots. They are comfortable, well made and stylish.

Flashback Friday

Happy Friday lovebugs! For this post I wanted to try something different (I actually didn't plan this, it just worked out beautifully) and do a post that featured items and styles from previous posts.

To begin, you may recognize this Forever 21 top from a post I did with Aurora Peterson last August (seen here). It is so comfy and perfect for spring time because it is thick enough to keep you warm on a rainy day, but light enough that you aren't overheated. Plus the shape/size doesn't obscure your body shape and the detailing on the front gives it a feminine feel.

The shoes (seen here) are from Target and they were in the clearance section! I love the way that they match my pants and how the two pieces add a pop of spring color to freshen up the look.

Although these bow earrings (also from Forever 21) have not been featured in a post before, I thought they were a smooth transition from my last post and keeping with the bow theme.

Elegance and Elbow Patches

Is it just me or does 20 degrees feel like -100 degrees? Maybe it’s because of the Mexico trip, but this winter feels extremely long and unusually cold! The awesome thing about doing a shoot inside is that the outside world can’t control what you wear. For this shoot, I focused on a simple timeless outfit. I wanted to incorporate these gray shoes I got at target ($3 clearance!) and this dusty blush colored cardigan (a trending color for spring!)

Single's Awareness Day (Valentine's Day)

Happy Valentine’s Day! If you have something special planned, congrats! If Chipotle is your valentine, that’s okay because Jesus loves you and I’m right there with ya. Angi and I got in the Valentine’s Day spirit and did an inside shoot this time (it’s too chilly outside)!

For this first outfit, My shirt and jeans are from Target

For my second outfit, my leggings and top are from Forever 21

Edge of the World

Late night blog post! WOOHOO!!!! For this post, I wanted a woodsy, almost fairy-like theme. We were in a wooded area in Bloomington and we found train tracks that ended suddenly over a large body of water (I was a little turned around so I don’t know exactly where we were), thus the name of this blog. You can see the shot of my feet right next to the edge of the drop off (scary!!!) Details for this outfit is below the pictures.

The flower headband and tulle skirt are from Forever 21. The shirt is also from Forever 21, but it came in a pajama set. The shoes and sweater are from Target.

Frozen at the Foshay

Hello Lovebugs!

I’m sorry it has been so long since I have posted, but I have a feeling that will not be the case anymore. If anything, you’ll be sick of me!

This outfit and group of pictures are from last week’s adventure to the Foshay Tower in Minneapolis. The Foshay Tower (named after Wilbur Foshay) was the tallest skyscraper in Minneapolis from it’s completion on November 2nd, 1929 until 1972. Wilbur Foshay, an entrepreneur, hosted a celebration when it opened. Roughly 25,000 people were invited, all guest were given real gold pocket watches and there was a 19 gun salute. There was even a song made specifically for the celebration, needless to say it was a big deal. Six weeks after the celebration, the Great Depression hit. Foshay went bankrupt, which meant that he was in debt to not only Minneapolis, but to the conductor of the celebration song. The song wasn’t played again until 1988.

Today, the tower is a renovated, completely gorgeous (aesthetically pleasing ;)) hotel, except for the top floor. On the 30th floor, there is a Foshay Observation Deck, which to my surprise, is outside. Now, usually this would be fine, except Minneapolis was in the middle of a snowstorm. But, as you know, nothing stops me and Angi. We stayed up there for 45 minutes grasping our coffee and kickin it by the heaters.

We did take pictures at other places, but I thought Foshay was the most interesting of them all.

Holiday Clothing Haul - Forever 21

A few days ago, a follower asked where I shop and asked if I would do a holiday haul. So here it is!!! I scavenged Forever 21 and this is what I bought:

In recent news, I found out that 50% of your heat comes out of your head (which begs the question: why don’t we have steam like coffee cups?) Anyway, Minnesota is always so chilly so I’m looking for hats to keep me warm
